About the Game

Mindbytes: Learn to read Japanese is the most fun way to learn the Japanese writing systems of Katakana and Hiragana.



• Learn each character of both Katakana and Hiragana including its name and pronunciation
• Click the characters to learn how they are pronounced
• Think fast and challenge yourself to reach the highest score in the fast-paced and fun game mode
• Clicking the correct character earns you time, but getting the wrong answer causes a time penalty
• Get as many correct answers as possible before time runs out
• Reference flash-cards to look up any characters you haven't memorised yet
• Improve your language skills while learning two new writing systems
