About the Game

Midpoint is a 2D Metroidvania with RPG elements. Destroy enemies, dodge attacks, and steal spiritual energy from your foes. Be possessed by spirits of light and darkness to gain unique upgrades. Face blessings and curses, and sacrifice certain traits to unlock greater power. Free the world before being consumed by darkness.

The hyperfocus mechanic allows you to absorb energy from the environment and steal energy from your enemies to power your abilities. The closer you are to them, the more effective it becomes at draining their spiritual energy.

Keep your spiritual energy bar high to deal maximum damage with your basic attacks.

Some enemies have passives, such as "Tough Skin," which blocks damage lower than their shield value.

We feature simplified motion inputs: specific combinations of directions and buttons that players must input to execute special moves or advanced attacks. These require precision and practice, making special moves rewarding to master and adding a layer of depth to the gameplay. Like the skill tree ability Reversal: while Air Cut is active, it adds additional hits by alternating ◁ ▷ repeatedly.

The skill tree, allowing you to enhance each of your main abilities. Choose the path that best suits your playstyle.

Master synergies and strategically combine your abilities to unleash effects far greater than the sum of their parts.
