Midline ‘85 is an interactive thriller about working as an emergency service operator in a small town. Face the fears, desires and cruelty of people caught in trouble, as well as calls from your coworkers, friends, or even enemies. You will observe six months of Elena’s work, from her first day on the job to the story’s finale. Only your choices determine how it ends.
Study Midline for the smallest details of its life: local radio broadcasts, the morning paper, or work mail. Find information that will unlock new dialogue options. But remember: there is no knowing where an unexplored path might take you…
Your telephone is your only weapon. Use information you’ve gathered outside of calls, monitor the person on the other end’s mental state. Lie, intimidate, investigate or play by the book — there’s no tactic you shouldn’t try when someone’s life is at stake. Time is working against you, but it’s no reason to despair.
The past casts long shadows. Your actions affect the state of the protagonist, who cannot forget people’s deaths or her own mistakes. See the consequences in her character, available dialogue options and ultimately the ending.
