About the Game

Meadowside Mayor is an isometric puzzle-like city builder, where your job is to build a city and a special building from randomly generated decks. You're given 5 tiles at a time that you have to place while respecting their own unique rules. The game is played on a map randomly generated based on a selected biome.

Place buildings

When you start the game, you’re given a selection of buildings, around 100-200. Packed into multiple decks. Each time you draw, you get 5 random buildings from the deck. You have to place at least 3 of these to draw again, but you need to place down all of the buildings from the deck before you can progress to the next one.

Respect all placement restrictions

Each building has unique restrictions. To place it, you must have a spot in the city that fulfills all of them. If you are unable to place down all of the buildings from the deck, you lose. So think ahead!

Upgrade everything

Nearly all buildings have their unique upgrades. You place them onto existing buildings, and you have to meet more difficult restrictions. Watch your city expand but also grow in height.

Special Buildings

After completing a deck, you’ll upgrade a special building to a higher level. Special buildings are the crowning jewels of your city - a marvelous building with multiple levels to complete. Each level presents increasingly challenging tasks to complete.

Try out different biomes

If you want more of a challenge, try playing on a different biome (map). Each biome comes with its own challenges. For example, you can choose to play on a map with a bunch of small islands to try building bridges between them, or you can try and conquer the immense heat of a desert.
