About the Game

Guide Marvin to Freedom

Enter the dark catacombs and help Marvin escape a dangerous underground maze filled with traps, turrets, and treacherous platforms. In this 2D pixel art platformer, you guide Marvin through increasingly challenging levels while collecting coins, avoiding deadly traps, and surviving the journey to the exit.

Gameplay

Your objective is simple: reach the end of each level and survive the catacombs.

As you make your way through each stage, you’ll jump across platforms, avoid deadly hazards, and collect valuable items along the way. Coins reward exploration, while hearts restore Marvin’s health, giving you a better chance of surviving the dangers ahead.

The early levels introduce the core challenges and help you get comfortable navigating the catacombs. But as you progress, the difficulty rises. Levels become more intricate, hazards appear more frequent, and success depends on precise timing, quick reflexes, and smart decision making.

Every step deeper into the catacombs brings new dangers and a greater challenge to escape.

Hazards and Challenges

The catacombs are filled with dangers that will test your timing and precision:

  • Spikes that punish poorly timed jumps

  • Moving spikes that rise and fall, demanding precise timing

  • Automated turrets that lock onto Marvin and fire projectiles, forcing you to keep moving and react quickly

Each new level introduces more intricate platform arrangements and a higher density of threats, pushing you to improve your skills and adapt your strategy.

A Dangerous Catacomb Adventure

The game features a retro pixel art style that creates a nostalgic platforming experience while reinforcing the dark and mysterious atmosphere of the underground catacombs. The environment heightens the tension as you navigate dangerous corridors and narrow escape routes.

Risk, Reward, and Progression

  • Take dangerous routes to collect more coins

  • Play cautiously to preserve Marvin’s health

  • Plan your movements carefully to avoid traps and enemy fire

Completing each level brings a strong sense of accomplishment and pushes you further into the catacombs in Marvin’s quest for freedom.
