About the Game

Play Mancala, the classic pit-and-stone strategy game. Take turns sowing stones around the board, plan your captures, and collect more stones than your opponent.

Two game variations:

Kalah - A version popular in North America and parts of Europe. Choose a pit, sow its stones one at a time counter-clockwise, and pass through your end pit, called your store. Customize house rules such as captures and end-of-game cleanup. The first player to collect 25 of the 48 stones wins.

Oware, also known as Warri or Ouri - The version used in international tournaments and played across parts of Africa and the Caribbean. Choose a pit and sow its stones one at a time counter-clockwise. If the final stone lands in an opponent's pit and brings that pit to 2 or 3 stones, you capture those stones. The first player to collect 25 stones wins.

Multiple ways to play:

AI - Play against 10 named AI opponents. Some are clever, some are not so clever, and each has its own style.

Local Passing - Play locally with a friend by passing the device back and forth. The board rotates between turns.

Local Flat On Table - On a Steam Deck or tablet-style setup, place the device between you and a friend and treat it like a real Mancala board. The turn prompt rotates toward the current player.
