About the Game

Makarov Astronomy Suite brings 120 interactive astronomy modules to your Windows PC. Change a parameter, set time in motion and connect a striking view of space with the physics behind it.

Planets and skies: explore Saturn's rings, Moon phases, eclipses, planetary atmospheres and energy balance. Look for an exoplanet in a star's changing brightness.

Orbits and flight: experiment with gravity assists, orbital transfers, tidal forces and a rotating space habitat. Watch stars interact in a gravitational cluster.

Stars and observation: follow stellar evolution, solar plasma arches, supernova remnants and mass transfer between two stars. Explore spectra, telescopes and image formation one photon at a time.

Galaxies and cosmology: collide galaxies, bend light with gravity, examine a black hole and compare models of the expanding universe.

Move around 3D scenes, adjust the model and inspect measurements and plots. Browse six rings of 20 modules or use the searchable grid. The experiments run locally and can be explored offline.

Designed for discovery, self-study and classroom demonstrations. These are educational models with different levels of approximation, not a single simulation of the entire universe.

Menus cover 23 languages. Translation depth varies by module; some controls and explanations remain in English.
