WORLD SETTING
Civilization entered an age of rapid technological advancement, but Earth's resources were depleting at an alarming rate. In a desperate effort to secure humanity's future, pioneers were sent to the Moon, where they uncovered a miraculous substance known as Blackstone—a limitless energy source capable of renewing other resources. There was just one problem: Blackstone became inert the moment it left the Moon. To harness its power, pioneers established a space station on the lunar surface, beginning extensive research into what would become known as "Blackstone technology."
The Moon soon transformed into a new haven, a sort of Noah's Ark for humanity, as people began migrating there in search of a fresh start. This discovery ignited a renewed sense of hope for the survival of mankind and the quest for a new home. As research into Blackstone deepened, humanity uncovered a second, hidden potential within the material: the ability to empower human souls. Blackstone could manifest the strength of belief and even grant machinery life. Thus, the "New Moon Project" was launched in secrecy. Through advanced experimentation, scientists succeeded in extracting human souls and infusing them into mechanical bodies using Blackstone as a conduit. A new form of life had been born.
