LOST VIKING: SOMEWHERE IN BYZANTINE EMPIRE

Lost Viking is a fantasy retro "hero simulator" set in an alternate history where the Earth is divided among warring gods. The Norse, Greek, Egyptian, and Celtic pantheons vie for dominance, carving the world into rival empires. You play as the second son of a Viking Jarl, sent to the ruins of the Byzantine Empire—a territory seized by Northmen—to prove your worth.

The conquered palace guards the Valknut, Odin's legendary artifact. You are not armed with it, but you can channel its power like other challengers. Through your father's influence and gold, you acquire Valknut Gems. These mystical stones allow you to cheat death—if you fall in battle, a gem is consumed to rewind time and resurrect you at the last checkpoint.

KEY FEATURES:

  • ⚔️ Hybrid Combat System: Master the blade in third-person mode or switch to FPS view for precision strikes. Utilize 3 different attack types and combat tricks to defeat Goblins, Jottuns, and dangerous beasts or rival warriors.

  • 🌲 Yggdrasil Skill Tree: Your hero starts slow, but destiny awaits. Level up to unlock perks in the Skill Tree. Increase your speed, agility, and learn powerful magic abilities or handy skills like the Hunter ability to scavenge food from prey.

  • 🛡️ Survival & RPG Elements: It’s not just about fighting. Manage your Hunger system with food, collect loot, and rest at checkpoints to recover Health and Magic Energy.

  • 🗣️ Diplomacy & Choices: Violence isn't always the answer. Use the Diplomacy skill to negotiate with humanoid enemies or uncover lore through dialogues with unique NPCs like Ratatoskr the guide.

  • ☠️ Hardcore Challenge: Choose your difficulty from "Chicken" to "Godlike", which directly impacts your starting lives and enemy density.

  • 📊 Retro Aesthetics: Experience a stylized world with old-school vibes, complete with score leaderboards, secrets to find, and a unique physics-based movement system.
