About the Game

Set within the malfunctioning archives of the Svalbard Global Seed Vault, Lords takes players on a twisting voyage to the archive's dark heart as a rogue AI seeks to rewrite all of human history.

Loosely adapted from the works of Joseph Conrad, the game contains over 100 (human) hand-drawn illustrations and cutscenes; more than 300 (human) recorded voice lines; and at least 13 (human) written fourth wall breaks and Star Trek references.

Blending classic Tower Defence gameplay with a unique new general knowledge quiz mechanic, the game tasks players with helping the archive's curator, Marlowe, as he battles to regain control over the vault's archive and solve the mystery of its origins.

Now in closed Beta, Lords will release to its target audience of 9 people (at least three of whom aren't direct relatives of the developer) in Q4 2026.
