  • Actually fun to play Language learner

How it plays

In LingoRogue your goal is to build a deck of language flashcards, which when played in combinations grants your points. Every round you invite an opponent in the tavern to play against, with increasing difficulty. Visit the shop to upgrade your deck, and seek cards that will go well with the words in your current deck of flash cards.

Find the best hand to play every turn

Different Hands will yield different points. Your special cards will also trigger on specific hands or words / colors / letters. Maximize your potential score.

To get the points from your hand you must select the correct translation for all scoring cards. Don't know the right answer? Just flip the card!

Flipping the card reveals the correct answer and lets you proceed with the hand. But flipped cards will score lower.

Activating your special cards starts satisfying animations! Some cards score based on letters in your word-cards.

Every round you select a traveller to play against. They offer unique rewards or challenges for every round. Find one that suits your current strategy!

Purchase upgrades after every completed run. Build a deck that suits your current words and other upgrades.

Every game is unique with different words in your deck. Increase your vocabulary or replay the same words if you like! Track which words you've mastered.

Supported Languages

So far you can choose to learn any of the following languages: Norwegian, English, Japanese, Chinese, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, French and German. More languages will be added by popular demand.

Extended mechanics and strategy

Every round your dominant card color will be turned into a knowledge point. Exchange these for upgrades beyond the store. Got a combination of cards you like? Try to get the color-upgrade that best suits your deck!

Different languages have a different frequency of words and letters. This means LingoRogue will have different best strategies depending on the language you choose! Which language will you master?

In LingoRogue hard mode you must be able to translate your flashcards if you want them to score.
