LIMINAL STATE

You find yourself lost in a place that shouldn’t exist. Everything feels off — the silence, the looping spaces, the emptiness around you. Instinctively, you begin documenting it all. Liminal State is the beginning of something larger, something unknown — and it all starts here.

About the Game

Liminal State is a first-person exploration game set in surreal, abandoned environments — spaces that feel suspended between one place and another.

You find yourself disoriented after falling into a location with no clear origin, no purpose, and no way out. Driven by a quiet need to understand, you begin to observe and document everything around you. The deeper you go, the more the space unravels: rooms that repeat, hallways that shift, and a growing sense that the world itself is unstable.

Gameplay is focused on exploration, atmosphere, and environmental storytelling. There are no traditional objectives — instead, the experience is built around immersion and careful observation. Light puzzle-solving challenges your attention to detail, while the design encourages slow, deliberate movement through the world. Certain sections take place within narrow ducts and pipelines, adding variety to the way you navigate the environment and increasing the sense of unease.

A stillness hangs in the air — like something is watching, or waiting. These places feel familiar, but distant, like a memory fading in reverse.

Liminal State invites you to explore slowly, listen carefully, and piece together a story that hides in the margins. This is the first step into a world where meaning slips through your fingers — and everything may be about to start again.
