lemonade stand

You'd think that you and your friends run a lemonade stand in a mall. The lemonade is real. But it's also not what you're selling at all. Real players walk up, some want lemonade. Some want... "lemonade". And they ask in code you have to read, so the cops won't hear. Full proximity voice/text chat.

About the Game

The lemonade is real. But it's also not what you're selling at all.

  • This is a social economy trading game with friends and strangers and their friends, and also maybe their mom will join.

  • You'd think that you and your friends run a lemonade stand in a mall.
The lemonade is real. But it's also not what you're selling at all.
The stand is adorable. Just try not to think about what's under the table.

  • Real players walk up all day. Full proximity voice/text chat. Some of them want lemonade. Some of them want "lemonade". And they ask in code you have to read. Get it right, and the handoff happens under the counter while you're making change. Get it wrong, and you've just made things very weird for a man who genuinely wanted a drink.

  • Some customers know what your lemonade actually means. But some are just thirsty. And some are actually cops.

  • Not real cops. Mall cops. Real players, on a segway, with a walkie-talkie and no legal authority of any kind. They can't arrest you. But they can confiscate your table. It is the most powerless badge in law enforcement, and your friends will fight over who gets to wear it.

  • The code words aren't in the game. Your group invents them. By week two, your friends are ordering "extra pulp" with a straight face, and you genuinely don't know if that's product or a beverage.

  • Compete with the other's lemonade stands to sell the most while you buy out their stock.
Everybody who's playing is either a lemonade stand owner (can be with your friends on the same stand), or a cop.
Lemonade stand owners can go to other lemonade stand to buy their lemonade or "lemonade". Every player is real. There are no NPCs.

  • It's called LEMONADE STAND. And officially, that's all it is.
