Layer Hunt is a survival sandbox and dungeon game where the goal is to survive and hunt down all the bosses. To reach your goal you will have to mine, craft, build, farm, fight and explore for new abilities and resources. The world is broken up through many different layers that each offer new enemies, minerals and dungeons to explore. To progress, the player must explore all these layers and eliminate each layer's boss to finally beat the game.
- Layer based dungeon system - Explore underground layers to hunt down bosses and enemies in their fortified dungeons. Defeat the boss to unlock the next layer where you will find new resources and more difficult challenges.
- Combat - Craft your own weapons and spells with the resources you found. Learn new abilities called Knowledges which you may find scattered across the world in enemy camps.
- Survival sandbox - Search the underground layers to gather ores, abilities and magic orbs for spellcrafting for better survival. Or travel the different biomes to gather wood, food or other resources to build yourself a base for protection.
- Procedural generation - Explore a procedural generated world for a new experience every time you play
- Building and farming - Build your own house to secure a safe space for your resources and farms. Craft new furniture or use your obtained treasures to decorate your house, and of course build a railway system to connect to your friends' houses to show it off!
- Multiplayer - Play with your friends in a maximum group of 8
- More layers - More underground layers with unique monsters and bosses
- Overworld - Additional content on the different biomes
