About the Game

Laundromat is a first-person, psychological horror, 3d puzzle platformer set in a warped, liminal laundromat where gravity bends, reality folds, and detergent may hold the key to transcendence.

You awaken in an eerie laundromat—empty, humming, oddly architectured, abnormally vast. Seemingly infinite...

Hallways of washers, boxes of Mystic Mist detergent, cryptic 80s laundry advertisements, and strange contraptions fill the space. Silence echoes among the the tiled halls, yet it feels like  you're being watched.

Inspired by games like Portal, AntichamberLorn's Lure and Eclipsum, Laundromat blends liminal horror with nostalgic PS1 era style visuals and cosmic horror undertones to deliver a surreal yet soothing fever dream adventure filled with walking exploration and puzzle solving.

KEY FEATURES

  • Fold Reality
Shift gravity itself, levitate objects, reveal hidden layers of the environment through altered perspectives and pierce the fabric of space through washer-gateway traveling.

  • Puzzle-Focused Gameplay
Solve intricate, complex 3d spatial challenges by flipping gravity, walking on walls and ceilings, seeking solutions through trial and error, by exploring various perspectives from a single puzzle space.

Use pressure plates, Mystic Mist boxes, detergent distributors, and mysterious gateways to progress and seek a way out.

  • A Story about Washing

Piece together a rich, slow-burn, cryptic narrative that won’t be handed to you. The truth lies in the details — for those who observe, connect, and theorize. Are you truly alone? Or is something watching? What is this place anyway?

Uncover hidden truths buried in poster ads, emergency exit signs, scattered detergent labels, warped architecture, and the haunting echoes of surreal, almost non-Euclidean spaces seemingly no with no outside.

  • Retro Aesthetic
Embrace an indie take on ps1 and ps2 era visuals, with pixelized graphic dithering, and hints of VHS noise, CRT feel and lo-fi textures.

  • Atmosphere Over Jump Scares
A quiet, lingering dread fueled by liminal unease and an uncanny slow-burn.

Perfect for fans of experimental puzzle design, surreal horror, and retro aesthetics.
