About the Game

You have retreated to the isolated Blackwood Manor to overcome a paralyzing writer’s block. But the silence in this house is not empty. As you type, the stories begin to bleed into reality, manifesting the very horrors you are trying to capture on paper.

In Last Draft, you must balance the meticulous work of writing a story with the primal need to survive. It is an observation, typing, and horror game where your progress is also a signal for the unseen. Can you survive the horrors whilst completing your required writer's piece in time?

Key Features

  • Observe: Study the manor for subtle shifts in the placement, position, or even color of items. These shifts are not always dangerous; however, misinterpreting them may cause you to hide unnecessarily and waste precious time. You must learn to distinguish between genuine threats and harmless anomalies.

  • Type to Survive: Master a high-tension, typing-based mechanic where each keystroke counts. While every typed word brings you closer to completion, it also brings anomalies closer. Fumble too much, and making mistakes advances the time you have left, accelerating towards your deadline.

  • Experience The Narrative: Write the story as if it were your own. Fully immerse yourself in the short stories you craft. You will encounter a variety of narrative genres, each providing you a completely different perspective and narrative experience.

  • Dynamic Horror: Experience the sudden and reactive reactions from the anomalies if you decide to ignore them. Your neglect of the them will not go unpunished. Will you hide or sit through and challenge the anomalies to see how they'd react?
