Recently, bear attacks have been occurring all over the country.
I saw something about it on the news, but I was sure it had nothing to do with life in my town.
…Or so I thought.
Someone spotted a large brown silhouette lurking in the darkness, at night, in an abandoned factory.
There’s no doubt that something terrifying and enormous is hiding in this town.
…and eventually, I came to understand that the “something” was her.
I think of her—and of the days I can never return to.
