About the Game

Genre

KORA is a branching interactive visual novel set in a soft sci-fi world, featuring multiple routes and endings.

A city governed entirely by AI.

A city that claims to be the fairest and most efficient place in the world.

But what does any of that have to do with you?

You're just an ordinary electronics repair technician trying to get by. A meal on the table. A place to sleep at night. That's all you've ever really wanted.

Unfortunately, life has other plans.

You only agreed to help Iris with a high-paying job and maybe score a free meal along the way.

Instead, you got kidnapped.

Even stranger, Iris—the woman who raised you—seems to have expected this "accident" all along.

Story

In 2078, the superintelligent AI KORA emerged onto the world stage.

Soon afterward, B City became the first city placed entirely under its administration.

The city quickly earned a reputation as the world's most efficient and equitable metropolis.

Traffic jams disappeared.

Resources were distributed with unprecedented precision.

Crime rates dropped to historic lows.

At least, that's what the news says.

You are an electronics repair technician.

After months without contact, Iris—your adoptive mother and the person who taught you everything you know—suddenly reaches out.

She has accepted a dangerous and highly lucrative job and wants you to accompany her as an assistant.

Just like countless jobs before, you drive her toward the assignment.

Then everything goes wrong.

A sudden crash changes everything.

When you wake up, you find yourself a hostage of the underground organization Error404.

And somehow, KORA itself—the AI supposedly governing the entire city—has appeared inside their hidden warehouse.

What does Error404 really want?

Why is KORA in their possession?

What is Iris hiding?

And in this city, who is actually telling the truth?
