About the Game

Kinship Table, la taab di vwaazayn, is a Michif fantasy open-world digital experience based on folklore, land-based knowledge and history of Red River Métis. Built in Unreal Engine 5, Kinship Table simulates different worlds based on Métis folklore characters, from the Rougarou to fresh-water Mermaids.

You play as a community member invited to navigate to your neighbours homes and invite them to supper. Throughout each level you can walk up to different plants, and objects to learn more about them through facts that appear on screen and learn the word in Michif, the Métis language. This game is educational and has information about Métis culture throughout. In the last level, you walk into your Métis home where everyone shares a meal around the Kitchen table and listens to fiddle music.

Featuring incredible ambient soundtrack!

The goal of the game is to walk around each world and learn about the folklore beings, and Métis history.
