About the Game

Kim Jong Un Simulator is a reactive open world sandbox set in a satirized version of Pyongyang, North Korea circa 2011.

Your father, the Supreme Leader, unexpectedly passes away and you are left to oversee the fledgling empire. Unprepared and inexperienced, you're left to discover and manage the sentiment of your citizens through the use of gadgets, surveillance, informants, and propaganda.

Whether it's control through unabashed force, admiration through honesty and integrity, or manipulation through mass deception, you must ultimately decide your own leadership style.

Kim Sim is first and foremost a sandbox, and how you choose to play in that sandbox will have a dramatic effect on the atmosphere of Pyongyang. The story, people, weather, props, plant life, sound design and general look and feel of the world gradually shifts with your level of Corruption and Citizen Approval, among other factors.

Citizens in Kim Sim possess a number of different attributes that have an influence over their behavior. They'll remember the things they see you do and they'll form an opinion of you based on them. They may even share what they witnessed with other Citizens in their inner circle. You know how rumors go...

Citizens can be appointed to Advisory roles where they can help unlock new policies. You'll need to make decisions about surveillance, security, immigration, news and propaganda, and more. Your policy choices can significantly alter Pyongyang, and selecting the right policy choices is essential when developing a strategy for Approval.
