KEABE – Backstory Summary

GOCHI-MUCHI !

KEABE is a candy-colored battleground suspended in deep space - a cluster of ancient alien arenas built from Earth’s fractured memories. Pyramids, Aztec temples, WW1 trenches, neon towers, and spaceports collide in a surreal mix of history, myth, and simulation.

Created by a vanished alien race known as the Enchiladas, the arenas were once elite training grounds, populated by obedient bots and toy-like animal combatants. The bots still serve. The toys evolved.

Now, five sentient plush warriors remain: a cat, a techno-cat, a mouse, a unicorn, and a bunny. They clash in three rounds of heavy machine gun fire, thunderous explosions, and bubble- and glitter-filled combat. In the final minute, the forcefields drop around the neon pyramid - King of the Hill decides everything.

General Info:

This is KEABE Free - a free-to-play game,  Demo version 0.71 that includes the first two stages from the full game, which will be launched in Early Access in autumn 2026. Some of the screenshots are from the full version.

Built in our trademark Neo-retro surreal style.

KEABE Gochi-Muchi is an arena shooter set in a psychedelic, colorful cyberpunk world with glitching hologram surfaces and a strong dose of Red Matrix.

The single-player mode with bots offers a good practice ground. You can also connect with friends or other players online via Photon. The easiest way to play with friends is by using social media to share and join rooms together. In online multiplayer, any empty player slots are automatically filled with bots. The maximum room capacity is currently 12 players.

The gameplay is fast-paced and vertical, with multiple floors, jump- and warp platforms, secret pathways, hidden rooms, and lots of firepower and explosions. You can mine the map with proximity mines, take down opponents with high-powered machine guns, or fry them with a flamethrower. Prefer sniping? Settle into a good spot with a sniper rifle and wait for the perfect shot - one clean hit is all it takes.

If mines are your thing, place them near item spawns or spawn points for easy remote kills, while you cause chaos with the “catling gun” and its 200-round belt - more than enough to dominate the scoreboard. Or throw in a few sticks of dynamite - that’s fun.

The winner is the player with the most kills at the end of each round. In the final minute of the third round, the King of the Hill zone activates on the top floor.

Full Game Soundtrack varies from Heavy metal to Dark ambient to Retro Disco and more.

Happy trails!
