Karma Exorcist is an Eastern mythology-themed side-scrolling Metroidvania action-adventure game.
Inspired by Chinese mythology, this game presents a fresh interpretation of the underworld: good and evil karma function like an invisible magnetic field, influencing the balance of the Three Realms. When evil karma spreads, disasters follow. To counter this, gods and buddhas gradually established the underworld—with Meng Po Soup (Potion of Oblivion) to erase memories, the Eighteen Levels of Hell to punish guilty souls, and more—all to maintain the cycle of existence. Here, you will explore a world of the dead that feels both familiar and strange.

There is never just one path to the ending; hidden stories and areas await discovery as you adventure onward.
Dynamic Combat, React and Adapt: Wield a 360° Chain Hook alongside dashes, double jumps, rolls, and combat artifacts to outmaneuver enemies in fast-paced battles. Numerous monsters feature unique combat mechanics that demand keen observation and careful responses. Each boss encounter is meticulously designed with distinct styles, delivering intense and thrilling duels where you react and adapt—culminating in the supreme satisfaction of overcoming powerful foes.
Myriad Artifacts, Shape Your Destiny: Collect various artifacts during your journey, each with its own unique combat module, allowing you to mix and match freely. Equip multiple Soul Gems to create a combat style that is uniquely yours. Additionally, utilize consumables such as talismans and elixirs to aid your travels through this perilous underworld.
