About the Game

KanjiMemory (漢字Memory) is a game of Memory that lets you play rounds of Memory games with Japanese kanji characters and their associated readings. It is designed to be an entertaining way for students of the Japanese language to deepen their grasp of kanji while also training their short term memory.

KanjiMemory offers the following:

  • Full set of the current 2136 jouyou kanji issued in 2010 by the Japanese Ministry of Education as potential memory card pairs
  • Adjustable play deck size to tailor your own difficulty
  • Adjustable display speed for memory cards to accomodate both speedy and slow play

Each round will set up a fresh play deck by choosing randomly selected kanji out of all available jouyou kanji.
