♟ Learn Korean Chess Through Chess

Think you know Chess? Korean Chess will surprise you.

K-CHESS OMEGA uses short visual lessons to compare familiar Chess pieces with their Korean counterparts — from the Rook-like Chariot to the blockable Horse, the palace-bound General, and the tactical Cannon. Watch the pieces move and discover a new world of strategy.

Rook vs. Chariot

Straight-line power, with an extra twist: the Chariot can also move along palace diagonals.

Knight vs. Horse

A familiar L-shaped move — but unlike the Chess Knight, the Korean Horse can be blocked.

Meet the Cannon

A signature Korean Chess piece that attacks by jumping over another piece.

King vs. General

The heart of the game — but in Korean Chess, the General must defend from inside the palace.

Bishop vs. Elephant

Both pieces feel diagonal, but they work completely differently. The Bishop slides across long diagonals, while the Elephant follows a fixed, blockable path.

Pawn vs. Soldier

No promotion. No retreat. Korean Soldiers advance with steady pressure across the board.

Queen vs. No Queen

Korean Chess has no Queen — tactical power is spread across the entire army.

Meet the Guard

A palace defender with limited movement, but essential for protecting the General.
