About the Game

Plot

The story follows an eccentric scientist (the protagonist) and his companion, who have been abducted by agents acting on behalf of the state and are being pressured to defect to the country that kidnapped them. Depending on the choices made, the pace and direction of the plot will unfold in different ways.

The backstory and other plot elements are revealed in small doses, leaving room for theories and providing motivation to keep playing in order to unravel all the mysteries.

The visual novel is divided into three playthrough styles, each with its own ending.

Negative – the pace is very fast, bloody, with a large number of scenes of violence and swearing, and also reveals secondary characters.

Neutral – the pace is measured and calm, with a low or moderate (depending on the player’s choices) amount of violence and swearing, and it answers the main plot questions whilst focusing on the protagonist.

Positive – the pace is faster than in the neutral mode, yet still more measured than in the negative mode. A minimal amount of violence and swearing. Over time, the story will increasingly focus on one of the secondary characters.

The game’s plot is spread across multiple paths, meaning that to fully understand the story, it is not enough to play through just one ending. On the contrary – to do so, you must play through the game in its entirety to see all the endings.

Visuals

The backgrounds and characters are hand-drawn, in a style that occasionally exaggerates proportions and presents the scene from a different angle.

The selection buttons are stylised to match the scene.

Animations are rarely present.

Soundtrack

For most of the game, you’ll be accompanied by ambient music that captures the game’s cosmic atmosphere, but there are also other tracks that will accompany events ranging from brutal confrontations to everyday tasks.

Most in-game events also feature sound effects, such as the sound of a door opening or the protagonist’s footsteps.

Gameplay

For most of the game, you will be reading dialogue, periodically choosing from the options presented by the game
