Alrion has spent his entire life fighting in the Hundred Year War. Gylfie has spent hers safely tucked away from it. When the wheels of fate bring them together, two people from opposite walks of life are forced to discard everything they know about the other side, and work together to survive the elements, monsters, and a rogue taskforce that's hell-bent on hunting them down.

Years on the battlefield have given Alrion keen senses and mastery over the art of swordplay. Down to earth and tough as nails, Alrion will never back down from a fight. However, his pride and lack of trust drives him to keep those around him at arms length.


A fledgling mage, Gylfie must use her surface knowledge of conjury to support her newfound companion. Kind to a fault, Gylfie will never refuse those in need. While she is not well-versed in conjury, her quick-thinking and strong faith makes her an effective all-rounder.
