You are Flute, a shapeshifting creature who plays music to move. Collect Notes Like Ammo and fire them outwards to move through the air.
Collect notes to fill your octave.
Play notes to move. Hit them to move again.
7 Notes, 7 Movesets.
Each of the 7 notes has its own unique movement mechanic, tone, and color. Note effects stack with one another. Evey note order determines a different melody and a different move sequence, allowing for deep combos and complex routing through levels.
Music Driven Design
Experience a single evolving piece of music as the level progresses in a multi-genre fusion inspired soundtrack. Every level unlocks a little bit more of the song
Sight-read and Sight-hear Platform Challenges
Notes harmonize to the music — hear what went wrong before seeing how it played out. Evey sound effect dynamically adjusts to what the music is doing, so you can hear correct and incorrect inputs.
Notes are color coded interconnected — every mechanic in the game is integrated in a single color-language, which you decipher more of as you play.

Quicksaves and Quickloads:
Never get stuck in a level. Inpulse comes with emulator-style savestates which load instantaneously. Saves are mapped to your controller by default and increment automatically so that you never have to worry about overwriting past progress.
Input Playback:
Read levels like music. Every level comes with a full replay and a DDR-style input screen teaching you how to play.
Builtin TAS Support:
Record your own replays and send them to your friends. Speed them up or slow them down to learn from them. Replays are fully compatible with savestates and will splice together to create a perfect run.

The Game Is the Level Editor:
Pause the game at any moment and modify the level. The game is the editor, unlocking new features as you progress through the game.
Photoshop-Style Layer Support
Separate Levels into Photoshop-style layers which move and can be drawn upon independently. Export levels into an image, draw ontop of it, and hotload it back into the game on the fly.
Autotune the game to Your Music
Add a song to your level file and specify the musical scale. Every sound effect in the game will adjust to match the composition.
Built by Kaizo Veterans:
Designed with love by early founders in the kaizo scene. Playtested by a roster of world-record holders and esport veterans. We want you to experience kaizo like we did, and we want you to succeed at it.
