IKAROS is a virtual reality adventure game developed from unity and works under HTC VIVE environment.
In the game, player will control a cyborg character who need to escape from a huge underground world that full of traps and killing machines, as well as discover the hidden conspiracy behind.
This project wants to overcome the restriction of player physical movement and virtual reality sickness occurs in real world, so as to increase immersive experience during gameplay.From this background, certain kind of redirected walking technology had been applied to allow players explore unbounded virtual worlds while walking naturally through physically limited space.
