7 itemsAbout the Game
Hyperphymesia is a first-person puzzle and role-playing game. In the game, you will encounter various bizarre things: a randomly transforming parking lot, a non-existent basement, and even a girl buried deep in your memory—she has been waiting for you for a long time. Now that you have entered this extremely realistic dream, why not temporarily forget the trivialities of reality? The full version includes all 12 chapters unavailable in the demo, with a complete storyline. (This game contains a small amount of unsettling background sounds and no background music, with a total playtime of over 3 hours.)
This work takes Hyperphymesia as its core setting and integrates it with the fantasy element of "lucid dreaming". It is a fictional creation based on publicly available medical data, designed to serve the plot and puzzle-solving gameplay. The content differs from the actual experiences of real patients, and we hereby extend our sincere respect to relevant groups.
I am dreaming a very lucid dream. Perhaps it is to escape reality—after all, in dreams you can have everything, but in reality, I don’t even have time. To be precise, time in reality never belongs to me, while time in dreams is always mine.
...... Lucid dream? Can I control the dream?
By some chance that I can’t explain, I learned about the concept of lucid dreaming—it means knowing that you are dreaming and being able to control what happens in the dream. Since then, I have been obsessed with experiencing lucid dreaming. The closest I ever got was when I realized I was dreaming. But the moment that thought crossed my mind, I opened my eyes abruptly. The surroundings were pitch black; I had never felt my room was so dark...... I have never truly entered a lucid dream, not even once.
Until I learned about a device called the Dream Therapy Instrument, which can help me enter a lucid dream. I customized one at a physical store that sells Dream Therapy Instruments, and several weeks later, I finally got my customized device......
My house has no basement—never has, and never will. A sense of unease began to creep over me. Nothing went as I expected. I started waking up in strange scenes time and again, all of which were places I had dreamed of before.
I met a person who called herself Yomogi. She was in my mind, and she wanted to help me escape from here......
I really saw Yomogi. She actually existed in my consciousness, and she wanted to help me get out of this bizarre dream cage......
