About the Game

Hourglass Sanatorium is a surreal adventure horror game in which you'll explore haunted mazes, meet strange characters and travel to a mysterious alternate world to meet your dead father. The game is based on the works of  surrealist writer and visual artist Bruno Schulz.

Joseph wakes up without a ticket in an almost empty, archaic train. Suddenly he remembers... his father died. No, he didn't. He couldn't. Surely, Joseph's father still rests in the Sanatorium.

You are Joseph, an artist adrift at the edge of reality. To meet your deceased father you must take a train to a mythical place known as Doctor Gotard's Sanatorium where even death can be cured... or so they say. The road to father is filled with strange mazes, memories and challanges.

Features:

  • Haunted mazes, dream logic and strange puzzles.

  • Engaging story about time, loneliness, death and strange family dynamics seen through a lens of an artist.

  • Eerie world where dreams mix with mythology and reality.

  • Full Voice Acting (English and Polish): All of the weird and unique characters come to life with full voiceover.

  • Stylized graphics reminiscent of hand drawings.
