About the game

An all-new roguelite hack-and-slash from Shueisha Games, set in a fantasy world of immortals, demons, and mythic beasts drawn from ancient Chinese mythology. As a young disciple of the legendary sage Taikobo, you're thrown into a land plunged once more into turmoil.

That world comes from HOSHiN ENGi, the Chinese-mythology fantasy by Ryu Fujisaki serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, now past 22 million copies in print. Combine a vast arsenal of Paope, the mythic treasures wielded by the gods and immortals of legend, to forge a fighting style all your own, and battle through shifting dungeons with your spirit beast at your side. Every run is different; every build is your own! Create powerful synergies, grow stronger with each attempt, and lose yourself in combat that's fast, yet deep, and endlessly replayable.

A Cast of Legends at Your Side

The world is alive with vivid characters: your mentor Taikobo, the shapeshifting Reiju Supushan, the stalwart warrior Yozen, the hot-headed young fighter Nataku, the loyal soldier Koh Tenka, and many more from the legend. Grow closer through conversations back at base and banter out in the dungeons, and they'll have your back in all kinds of ways. Some of the more hot-blooded ones will even challenge you to a duel in the name of "training." Beat them, and the rewards only get sweeter. Allies, rivals, and everything in between are waiting.

Fight Alongside Your Reiju

Your Reiju companion is a reliable ally in the thick of battle. On foot, it acts on its own to support you, shielding you and disrupting enemies. Mount up and unlock dedicated riding actions: dash through the air, weave through enemy fire, and open a path with a strike to their blind spot. Tear through the dungeons with your Reiju at your side!

Build Your Loadout, Break the Dungeon Wide Open

"Main Paope" anchor your offense, and "Sub Paope" bend the flow of battle. Mix and match a deep, varied arsenal to craft the perfect answer for any situation. Upgrade your Paope to unleash powerful evolved attacks, and stack the right combinations to cut through everything in your path. Better still, carry the "Secret Arts" you learn at random on each run and the "Materials" you gather back to base, and put them to work making your heroes permanently stronger. Tune your build exactly to your taste and overwhelm every foe that stands in your way.

Make Every Choice Count, and Push Past Death Itself

No two descents are alike. The dungeons wear a new face every time. Island to island, weigh the rewards at the end of each branching path and choose your route. Claim a new Paope, power up a companion, or spar with one of the legends to sharpen your edge, and every choice bends the course of your run. And when you fall? Head back to base, spend what you've gathered to strengthen your heroes and Paope, and dive back in even stronger!
