About the Game

Horizon Sandbox is a multiplayer physics sandbox where your creativity takes center stage. Bolt a thruster to a wooden pallet and call it a plane, construct massive mechanical structures, or just cause chaos with friends. There are no missions, levels, or objectives - every server is an open sandbox where you and up to 100 other players build, wreck, and collaborate however you want. Build anything, the only limit is your imagination!

Features:

  • Full Physics Simulation: Every object you spawn reacts dynamically to the environment. Push it, weld it, launch it, and experiment with realistic physical forces.

  • Contraption Saving & Sharing: Keep your builds alive forever. Save your custom creations locally as portable files, making it easy to back up your progress or share your designs directly with other players.

  • Up to 100 Players: Join massive servers to collaborate on giant structures, host physics experiments, or engage in chaotic, large-scale multiplayer sandbox gameplay.

  • Welding, Wiring, and Engineering Tools: Link components together using an in-depth wiring system. Connect sensors, buttons, and thrusters to build fully functional vehicles, automated logic systems, or even complex in-game computers.

  • Extensive Modding Support: Customize your experience by creating your own custom content or downloading a large variety of community-made mods, maps, and tools.

Sessions can run anywhere from a few minutes to several hours, depending on what you're building and who you're building it with.

Horizon VR Rating: Intense

This is a high-intensity VR experience. Expect free locomotion, fast-moving physics objects, unpredictable collisions, and chaotic multiplayer destruction - all of which can be disorienting or nausea-inducing for players new to VR. We recommend players with prior VR comfort experience, and suggest first-time VR users try the game with a friend nearby and take frequent breaks.
