About the Game

Hold My Hand (Or Let Go) is a linear Visual Novel about unrequited love, envy, friendship and forgiveness. Experience the story of Charlie, a completely normal Swedish college student that’s graduating next week. But before he does that, he has to say goodbye to all the friends that he made during his three years in town.

That’s easier said than done though, since he’s still unhappily in love with his best friend Elvira. In order to keep their friendship from spiraling into chaos they decided to establish three different ground rules. But will they manage to keep all the rules and keep their feelings under control during the last night together with each other?

Charlie also has a Japanese friend called Toshihiro, who owns a bar in the town. Maybe there’s a chance for Charlie to take Elvira to this bar and introduce her to Toshihiro. But how did Toshihiro end up in Sweden? And why has he been so quiet about his past?

The last friend that Charlie has to say goodbye to is Benjamin, who he’s known all the way back since he moved to the town to study. Will their common interest in movies be enough when their friendship is put at risk? Or do they need something deeper? Find out about this, and much more, in Hold My Hand (Or Let Go).
