About the Game

In 18th century America, the fires of revolution have erupted. Brother has taken up arms against brother in clouds of gunpowder and skulduggery. But in chaos and bloodshed, a crafty merchant could make his fortune – and perhaps, even fall in love.

You are Mr. Law: the proud new owner of a slightly used ship. Your plan is simple. Sail from Quebec to Spanish Louisiana. Buy low. Sell high. Don't sell your soul to a demon.

It doesn’t all go according to plan.

Manage a merchant ship and run cargo across 13+ ports in a volatile wartime economy. Prices shift with the conflict: blockades limit supply, battles spike demand, the Dutch crash the tulip market, and your own trading can tank prices if you get too greedy.

Manage crew wages and morale. Upgrade your cargo hold. Pay increasingly ridiculous taxes. Pray the debt collector doesn't find you when you’re in the red.

If you liked Recettear, Sid Meier's Pirates, or FTL, you already know what this feels like. If you liked all three simultaneously, seek help. Then play this.

Every colony and state is a girl. Every state-chan runs a shop.

Connecticut is a bookworm. New Jersey has a “temper”. Florida wrestles gators. New Hampshire is a ninja? Build your social stats from "fleabitten sailor" to "dashing seafaring gentleman," and take your favorite state-chan on dates. Available romance options are added throughout development and are planned as part of the Early Access roadmap.

Each romance has unique dialogue and relationship events. Some of the dialog choices even make them happy.

Patriot, Loyalist, or trimmer – pick a side or play both until you reap what you sow. Your alignment changes which ports welcome you, which ships hunt you, and which state-chans will talk to you. The war moves without you. Towns get sacked. Prices spike. End up on top.

At sea, dice-based ship combat inspired by 100% OJ. Roll to attack, defend, dodge. Encounter Royal Navy patrols, privateers, sea monsters, and the occasional Flying Dutchman. Like everything in turbulent times, a lot of your survival is based on how you handle bad luck.
