About the Game

High Mountain Abbey is an eerie point-and-click puzzle adventure set in an abbey which has been overtaken by the world-bending influence of a mad god. Explore a world in stop-motion miniature. Rooms of felt and clay, and logic-puzzles which only barely dip their toes into sense, all while unraveling a story of mystery, madness, and the legacy of those who until now had just barely managed to keep the god contained.

FEATURES

  • Classic point-and-click gameplay makes the world easy to explore and navigate, though the puzzles are anything but simple!

  • Miniature stop-motion aesthetic that is equal parts charming and eerie. Lovingly handmade and recorded, the abbey is alive with character!

  • Mind-bending puzzles of mysterious machines to test your abstract thinking. The world around you has been warped both by the mad god itself and by prior attempts to contain it; can you find your way through?

  • Tantalizing hints about the abandoned abbey’s prior inhabitants. Who were they? What secrets did they use to contain the mad god?

Handcrafted Mystery to Explore!

Every room and passageway, every staircase and elevator and painting and object has been lovingly built and photographed by hand, frame-by-frame. The entire game is a real-life stop-motion diorama for you to explore! Felt and clay and wood and crystal – thousands of hours of work, and even hand-recorded sound-effects bring the abbey gorgeously and dreadfully to life.

Maddening Mechanical Mysteries!

Pipes and valves, pools and wires, inscrutable symbols; the abbey is suffused from one end to the other in bizarre machines designed (somehow) to contain the influence of the mad god, and they’ve all gone awry. Make your way through the eerie felt hallways, up and down the crystal-lined stairs, slowly but surely making sense of the labyrinthine contraptions around you. As your mind turns sideways, the world begins to seem straightforward!
