About the Game

Hermertia Wars — Action‑RTS + Arena

Heroes from across Hermertia’s thousand‑year history clash on vast floating islands rich with resources, but destined to run dry. As a single hero, build thriving settlements, passively command workers and soldiers, and outmaneuver rival factions while battling in fast, expressive combat inspired by classic arcade fighters.

Hermertia Wars blends high‑speed hero action with lightweight RTS strategy. Smash, dash, combo, and launch enemies off the map while your civilization grows behind you. Every economic, territorial, or tactical decision shapes the battlefield and your path to victory.

About This Playtest

Hermertia Wars is now in a public playtest running until the end of 2026. Throughout this period, we’ll be releasing major updates, new systems, and a new hero. This will all be shaped directly by community feedback.

At the end of the playtest, we’ll perform a soft wipe: players will keep their cosmetic items and cards, but XP and progression will reset as we prepare for the next season.

This playtest is your chance to help steer the future of Hermertia Wars. As a co-operative, we care about crowd-directed, open, and iterative development.

Core Features (implemented)

  • Action‑RTS Hybrid Gameplay Control a single hero in fast, readable combat while managing resources, constructing bases, and commanding NPC workers and soldiers.

  • Procedural Floating Islands Each match takes place on a new biome-rich island with unique terrain, and resource distribution.

  • Lore-Rich Heroes Play as iconic figures from Hermertia’s long-running universe, each with unique combat styles, cards, and strategic identities.

Core Vision

  • Escalation-Based Battles We aim for matches that evolve from small skirmishes into chaotic spectacles with large-scale destruction.

  • Free to Play, Forever No pay‑to‑win. All gameplay-affecting content can be earned simply by playing.

Amador — Governor of West Demurgia

Cunning, diplomatic, and ruthlessly strategic, Amador rose from Freewinds captain to governor during an age of exploration. He expanded West Demurgia through sharp diplomacy and calculated instability, even orchestrating the downfall of Kyn’s predecessor. His leadership set the region on the path toward the Council of the Crowned.

Combat style: Slower, steadier, but hits hard with a sharp cutlass and creates distance with a blunderbus.

Cards: Expansionist + Tropical culture

Kyn — Founder of Valtoros

A desert nomad who helped end the Monster Wars, Kyn earned his people a place in the Empire as the Twin Kingdom. He built Valtoros into a thriving desert realm known for trade, architecture, and fierce warrior culture. But new sea‑borne rivals soon pushed his lands toward conflict once more.

Combat style: Faster, sleek, quick hits and creates space with a 360 spear attack.

Cards: Desert folks + Warrior heritage

Developer Notes

Hermertia Wars is built by a small indie cooperative formed from a decade‑old Minecraft community. Our goal is a living game that evolves for years while staying true to its core identity and the spirit of Hermertia.

We release early, iterate fast, and listen closely. Expect monthly updates for all players and weekly builds for playtesters and contributors. Let’s build the next chapter of Hermertia together.

We are also an AI-content-free game. Programmers use LLMs to support development but all game writing, assets, and direction are human only.
