About the Game

This project is a free game created by the developer out of personal interest and as a portfolio piece. The game took three months to complete, with all music, art, programming, and writing created independently by the developer. In the game, the protagonist plays as an egg kid who was executed by the king and sent to hell. Seeking revenge, they make a deal with a demon to assist in their plans. Inspiration was drawn from games like Lone Star Hunter, The Binding of Isaac, Bratato, and Slay the Spire. The game adds a time-based resource mechanic to the traditional roguelike genre, allowing players to dynamically allocate the number of monsters each round. The initial difficulty is high, requiring multiple attempts to gradually unlock the monster and item bestiary, gaining off-round growth and enhancing base stats. Once all equipment bestiary are unlocked, players can customize their starting gear, which changes the gameplay by focusing less on survival and more on gear-building. The game also pays homage to some well-known games' items or characters, offering surprises for players. The main game takes about one to two hours to complete, while the full achievement run takes approximately five to ten hours. We hope players find joy in the experience.
