About the Game

Hedra is a creative sandbox that invites you to shape landscapes, observe a basic ecosystem, and explore the building blocks of an evolving world.

Key Features

  • Sculpt and Shape: Use intuitive tools to carve mountains, dig valleys, and create intricate 3D shapes or entire landscapes. Your changes are saved automatically and persist across play sessions.

  • Prototype Ecosystem: Watch as simple creatures roam and graze on the terrain you shape. While they currently move randomly, future updates will include detection, pathfinding, and self-sustaining behaviors.

  • Creative Freedom: Build with a grid-based system designed for efficient performance. Enjoy the simplicity and precision of creating on an small, adaptable map.

  • Growing World: Updates will introduce more creature types like carnivores and omnivores, diverse plants such as trees and mushrooms, and new terrain types like clay and gravel to expand your creative possibilities.

Planned Features

Hedra is in Early Access, and future updates will bring new additions such as:

  • Dynamic Environment: Liquids like water and lava flowing naturally, day-night cycles, weather effects and wind simulation.

  • First-Person Exploration: Walk through your world, interact with the environment, and build structures like homes, bridges, and caves.

  • Advanced Ecosystem: Creatures will reproduce, pass on instincts ("genes") and evolve naturally, creating a more realistic ecosystem.

  • Underground Discovery: Dig into the terrain to uncover caves filled with unique flora and fauna.

Current State

As a prototype, Hedra focuses on testing core systems and gathering feedback. You can:

  • Sculpt terrain, reset flora and fauna, and explore a small but functional ecosystem.

  • Observe how creatures interact with their environment.

  • Create and save your evolving sandbox world.

Why Early Access?

Hedra is designed to grow with its community. Your feedback helps shape its mechanics, features, and future development.

Join the Journey

Hedra’s Early Access price is a discounted opportunity to support development and enjoy the game as it evolves. Updates will come every few weeks, adding new features, materials, and mechanics. Feedback and bug reports are welcome on the Discord channel or other platforms.

Looking Ahead

Hedra will remain in Early Access until the ecosystem includes reproduction, pathfinding, carnivores, herbivores, and full first-person interaction. The price will increase as the game nears full release, but you’ll always be informed beforehand.
