About the Game

A valley you can walk into

Hearthfield is a farming and small-town life sim set in one continuous valley. There are no
loading screens between your farm and the town, and no separate map hiding behind a doorway.
You walk up to a building, the door opens, the roof lifts away, and you are inside. The shops
have back rooms. The people who run them live upstairs.

A town that keeps its own hours

The villagers are not waiting where you left them. They walk real paths to real places, open
their shops in the morning and shut them at night, and have something to say about wherever
you happen to catch them. Spend time with them and they warm to you.

Work the land

Lay out raised beds where you want them, then plant, water and harvest through the seasons.
Fell trees, cut grass, and take what the valley offers. Craft at a workbench, sell what you
don't need, and pick up work from the quest board. Rain waters your crops for you, and you
will have known it was coming, because the forecast told you the day before.

Bring up to three friends

Play on your own or with up to three others. Join with a code, or straight from your Steam
friends list. One valley, one shared day, and chat while you work.

Where it's headed

Hearthfield is being built in the open and there is a lot still to come. Animals, fishing,
mining, festivals, romance, and the one we care about most: a cooking economy where the
kitchen is how you get rich, rather than dumping raw crops on a merchant. There's a public
roadmap and a post about it every month.

An honest word about how early this is

This is a young game. It was rebuilt from the ground up in 3D and there are still placeholders
standing in it, the characters most of all. If you would rather come back when it's further
along, that's completely fair. If you'd like to watch it grow and tell us what it needs,
there has never been a better time.

Wishlist Hearthfield and we'll see you in the valley.
