About the Game

You've inherited your Grandmother's quaint old izakaya. Unfortunately, it sits right on a spiritual leyline. The seals are starting to crack and the yokai monsters have begun to stir. Her old recipe book sits on the counter, filled with words you can't yet read. Decipher them to serve meals to your customers.

Run a Haunted Izakaya

Manage customer satisfaction against unending yokai attacks. Every choice matters - from game changing Relics with unexpected synergies, to Spirit Techniques with run-defining strategies, you'll need to think ahead to keep the izakaya open for the next night.

Learn By Playing

Learn Japanese just by playing. No previous knowledge required. Start with the basics and work your way up to advanced. You can learn both Hiragana AND Kanji. Bring your own word lists and study any vocabulary you like. Game over? Start again using the words you missed last time using the "Practice these words" feature.

Master Words, Then Watch Your Build Take Over

The Mastery system ensures that you don't repeat known words, while incorrect words are repeated until they stick. Words which are Mastered have their answers auto-completed. Turn on "Auto Mode" and watch your Relic and Spirit Technique combos play out for huge satisfaction multipliers.

Deep Roguelike Strategy

Discover your strategy with 46 Relics and 6 Spirit Techniques, along with multiple different yokai and customer archetypes. Every run will feel different as you take on new challenges.

Plan ahead by purchasing exactly which cards you need for the upcoming boss fight at the Konbini store. The Konbini is your chance to chain together huge combos.

Complete contracts each stage to raise your Heat multiplier and buy even more at the Konbini.
