About the Game

HALLS OF JÖTUNN

is a first-person atmospheric dungeon crawler set in the ruins of a forgotten Norse world where Ragnarök has already happened.

Ragnarök is no longer a prophecy. It has become a state of the world — a slow collapse of memory, faith, and meaning that nobody noticed happening.

You awaken at the edge of death, a broken warrior abandoned upon a rain-soaked battlefield. In that final moment, Ilar reaches toward you from the mist and offers a single bargain: help her reclaim what was taken from her, and she may return you to life.

You do not seek glory, vengeance, or the salvation of gods.

You seek only a way back to your family.

Neither voice guiding you through the dark tells the whole truth. One speaks with the voice of someone deeply wronged. The other speaks with the voice of order. Both are right. Both are hiding something.

FEATURES

• Slow, tactical first-person melee combat
• Fatigue system affecting both you and your enemies
• Limited inventory space that turns every item into a meaningful choice
• Explore crypts, flooded chambers, forgotten halls, and ancient ruins
• Discover fragments of lost True Names hidden throughout the world
• A dark story about memory, identity, sacrifice, and what remains after the end

COMBAT THAT DEMANDS PATIENCE

Combat is deliberate, brutal, and costly — not a power fantasy.

Every fight is fought at close range. Every swing matters. As battles drag on, both you and your enemies grow exhausted. Attacks become slower, breathing grows heavier, and mistakes become harder to recover from.

Victory belongs to those who manage distance, timing, and endurance.

SURVIVE WITH LIMITED RESOURCES

A single rune stone serves as your refuge, healing your wounds and preserving your progress. Its power returns slowly, forcing difficult decisions about when to push forward and when to retreat.

Your backpack can carry only a handful of items. Every weapon, shield, torch, and scrap of food competes for precious space.

Nothing is collected simply because it exists.

EVERY NAME MATTERS

The halls are filled with fragments of forgotten identities.

Names carved into stone. Names hidden beneath water. Names preserved in ruins long abandoned by gods and men.

In this world, true names are more than words. They are fragments of memory, identity, and fate.

To uncover them is to uncover what really happened when the world began to die.

WHAT THIS GAME IS NOT

This is not heroic fantasy.

Not a power fantasy.

Not a hack-and-slash adventure.

Not a colorful retelling of Norse mythology.

This is a journey through silence, ruin, and the fragile need to protect what remains human in a world already preparing for its end.

Every hall remembers a name.

Yours is the only one left to discover what that means.
