About the Game

The belt is rich. The belt is hostile. You have six gun arms.

Gunmetal Orbit is a fast 2.5D space-mining arena roguelite. Pick your spacer, launch into the asteroid field, and survive escalating waves while your weapons fire on their own — your job is to fly: kite the swarm, dodge the bolts, crack the rocks, and scoop the ore before something else does.

MINE UNDER FIRE

  • Ore is money, and money is guns. Pop asteroids, haul the chunks home, and sell at the dock — every run funds the next fight.
  • The field fights back: shooters, kamikaze poppers, splitters, armored heavies, ore-stealing salvage scarabs, and gravity-well Magnetars that drag you off your line.
  • Every few waves the belt shifts sectors — amber Scrap Drifts thick with rock, electric Ion Storms that scorch whole zones of the arena.

BUILD ABSURD LOADOUTS

  • Stack up to six auto-firing weapons — six SMGs screaming at once is a legitimate strategy.
  • Level-up picks and the rotating Outfitter shop snowball damage, attack speed, lifesteal, drones, and dashes into a screen full of bullets.
  • Combine duplicate weapons into higher tiers; recycle what doesn't fit the build.

GROW THE OUTPOST

  • Secured waves earn station blueprints — sentry spires, refinery annexes, cargo drone hangars. Your dock becomes a base that fights and earns alongside you.

RUNS SHAPED LIKE YOUR SESSION

  • Pick a mode — Standard, Endless, Mining Rush, or a challenge preset — and a hazard level 0–5: H0 is a quick patrol, H5 is a 30-wave campaign with mid-bosses.
  • Death is real: a hull breach ends the run and archives it to your Service Record.
  • Docking saves. Suspend anytime. Three slots hold three separate runs.

BUILT FOR THE DECK

  • Gamepad-first twin-stick controls with native button prompts; keyboard and mouse fully supported.
  • Native 1280×800, tuned for a locked 60 fps on Steam Deck hardware.
  • A dubstep soundtrack keeps the belt moving.
