About the Game

What makes a prisoner? How different are the people we lock up from the people doing the locking up?

Set in a dystopian world where even small crimes are punished in permanence, visual novel Guilty As Charged! sees 20-year-old Alan Pierce fight to the death in a televised gameshow between 18 criminals where the winner not only keeps their life, but gains a huge cash prize – as well as their freedom.

Play alongside Pierce as he explores the dingy prison around him, competes in brutal challenges, and makes bonds with the other captors. As rough and tough as they may seem, circumstances are often more complex than society portrays them...

Guilty As Charged! is as emotionally gripping as it is densely packed front-to-back, including:

  • ~20 hours of main story content with a script of over 200K words, to be released episodically across 8 chapters

  • Multiple endings including a True End, various Bad Ends and an 100% completion bonus scene

  • 26 unlockable notes that go in-depth on lore

  • Free Time mechanics and a Trust system that allows the player to access special scenes based on how close they are to their fellow inmates

  • Immersive minigames integrated with classic visual novel gameplay

  • Gorgeously detailed character sprites and CG art

  • An originally composed OST inspired by the music of the 1970s

"The sanctity of life is a fragile creature. To protect ourselves from the darkest of futures, we must retain integrity within its deepest dwellings."
