About the Game

The terrain is your enemy.

AXIOM, a rogue infrastructure AI, is consuming the city tile by tile. Its Grid network spreads every turn — buffing machine enemies, weakening your soldiers, and shrinking the ground you stand on. You command a three-soldier Blackout Team with one objective: destroy every Node before the Grid swallows the map.

A tactics game where the clock is the floor beneath your feet.

Your Squad

  • Breacher — Assault rifles and breach charges. Your Node killer. Blow through walls, blow up objectives.

  • Sentinel — Shotgun and shield. Holds chokepoints with Overwatch and keeps your squad alive with Shield Wall.

  • Specter — Fast, fragile, and disruptive. Phase Step through walls, sever Conduits to isolate Nodes, flank from angles enemies don't expect.

The Grid

Every Node on the map spreads Grid to one adjacent tile per turn — and it spreads toward your soldiers first. Grid tiles give enemies self-repair and extra armor. Your soldiers accumulate Exposure on Grid tiles, reducing their damage and making them priority targets.

Destroy a Node and its Grid decays. Sever a Conduit to pause a Node's spread. But every turn you spend maneuvering is another turn the Grid grows.

The Machines

  • Watchers scout and alert the network.

  • Swarms rush in packs toward the nearest soldier.

  • Haulers absorb damage and block your path.

  • Prowlers flank your most vulnerable troops.

Enemies share vision. Spot one, and the whole network knows where you are. Enemies on Grid tiles self-repair every turn.
