About the Game

Build Your Chess Legacy

Grand Chess Manager: Road to Grandmaster is a chess career and club management simulation where your success is shaped by much more than the next move on the board.

Create your player, begin your journey in the chess world, enter tournaments, improve your skills, and fight your way toward the grandmaster title. At the same time, you are responsible for building a serious chess club: developing players, hiring coaches, managing transfers, balancing finances, upgrading facilities, and making decisions that can define an entire career.

This is a game about long-term progression, pressure, planning, and ambition. Every match matters, but so does every decision you make away from the board.

Create and Develop Your Player

Start your career by creating your own chess player and shaping their path over time. Improve key chess abilities such as opening knowledge, tactics, strategy, calculation, positional understanding, middlegame play, and endgame technique.

Your player’s form, motivation, confidence, stamina, and mental strength all affect performance. A strong career is not built in one tournament. It is built through training, preparation, recovery, and the ability to keep improving after both victories and defeats.

Compete in a Living Chess World

Enter tournaments, climb the rankings, chase ELO milestones, and work your way from smaller events toward major international stages. Follow results, rivalries, news, world rankings, player stories, and important moments across the chess world.

Tournaments are not just isolated matches. They are opportunities to earn money, reputation, experience, and titles. Choose carefully where to compete, how to prepare, and when to take risks.

Manage Your Chess Club

Your club is the foundation of your long-term success. Build a squad, follow player development, manage morale, and decide who deserves a place in your future plans.

Scout promising talent, sign players, handle transfer offers, negotiate salaries, and strengthen your squad season by season. A successful club needs more than one star. It needs depth, structure, and a plan.

Train, Hire Coaches, and Improve Facilities

Hire coaches to improve different areas of your players’ game. Use training systems, tactics puzzles, opening study, endgame work, and long-term development plans to turn potential into results.

Upgrade facilities such as the training complex, youth academy, analysis center, health center, tournament hall, and admin building. Better facilities can improve training speed, youth development, match learning, stamina, sponsorship income, and tournament organization.

Handle the Business Side of Chess

Prize money alone will not keep your club alive. Manage salaries, coach wages, facility maintenance, sponsorship deals, tournament costs, and monthly income.

A bold investment can accelerate your growth, but poor financial planning can create pressure fast. Decide when to spend, when to save, and when the future of the club is worth the risk.

Make Decisions On and Off the Board

You will face more than match results. Player morale, sponsor pressure, transfer opportunities, media attention, academy prospects, facility projects, and unexpected events can all change the direction of your career.

A stronger coach may improve development. A new facility may shape the next generation. A risky tournament may bring prize money and reputation, or expose your weaknesses. Every choice has a cost.

Road to Grandmaster

Grand Chess Manager: Road to Grandmaster is for players who enjoy chess, sports management, career progression, and strategic decision-making.

Train carefully. Spend wisely. Build your club. Trust your players. Chase the grandmaster title and create a chess legacy that lasts.
