Overview
Gossamer Matrix is an FPS focusing on using a physics-based interaction scheme to carry out your role as a corporate security guard in a world where companies regularly engage in violent physical conflicts. Managing your jumbled inventory as you scramble your way through firefights with the office grunts is essential to maintaining clear operating efficiency of your firearm and proper reaction times.
Setting
As a security guard for a high-profile corporation, you were late to your peace-keeping role at a boardroom meeting that turned out to be a hostile seizure of power from the world famous candy manufacturer Mallow Chocolate Incorporated. Now you must fight your way to the boardroom through the soldier-infested office building and rescue the remaining members of your board from the occupying force of Mallow Corp. soldiers.
Gameplay
Your role demands an intimate knowledge of projectile weapon systems; knowing how magazines are inserted, revolvers get cocked, and shotguns pumped, are essential for being effective in this line of work. But things can quickly get overwhelming if you don't take the time to keep your workspace clean: empty magazines, candy wrappers, and dirty syringes will crowd your vision and obstruct your pockets if not disposed of properly, and being distracted on the clock is not a luxury you can afford.
Scrambling to manage your ever-growing jumble of trash is key to an effective mission, and juggling between useful and useless items is a skill you need to develop just as quickly as how to load your weapons.
Seize this opportunity to finally get that promotion you deserve, and hope that the collateral doesn't fall on you.
