Gordon and the Light Within

Gordon the Corgi adventures through a dark forest full of many dangers his own light the only guide to help recover from the darkness that seeks to consume his love. Can he find his way back? or will the darkness prevail? A platformer with tough challenges and many enemies to defeat. A classic retro style game and even though it can be challenging at times it is definitely a game for casual players looking for the feeling of old arcade type platformers.

Move around and explore the maze of levels as you expand your light source in the darkness. Having to squish enemy squirrels, birds, and cats. With big sub-bosses and bosses that provide a challenge in finding a way to overcome them. Collect items to increase your lives and see if you can get this highest score while avoiding being crushed or falling. Watch out for certain nature items that can slow your character, and manage your health, stamina and lives carefully to make it through the levels.  

Simple 2d side scrolling platformer controls using Wasd, arrow keys. or controller. run and jump mechanics (using space bar) and bouncing off enemies heads to crush them while avoiding being crushed. 

Chill audio design and hand-drawn backgrounds emphasizing the nature aspects of the forest into which Gordon the Corgi is exploring his way through.
