About the Game

Gold Lining is a story-driven puzzle platformer about finding meaning in life’s imperfections. Play as Yunli, a young girl who must find her way back home from a beautiful, fantastical realm inspired by Chinese mythology. Explore gorgeous landscapes, chat with charming inhabitants, and relive her memories, which reveals a touching story about understanding her immigrant mother.

Find beauty in the broken. In the real world, Yunli is a ceramics artist who must learn to give up her perfectionist tendencies and embrace her flawed relationship with her family. In the fantastical world, Yunli must learn to mend broken pieces and breathe life back into the realm to reach a Chinese mother goddess.
