About the Game

The year is 1999. You are the proud owner of a beautiful pc game store. You feel great satisfaction by organizing all your games meticulously into their designated spots. Gently sliding that last box into the shelf... mhhh....  But alas, what is that?! You hear a menacing pirate jingle and suddenly a software-pirate ship appears in your store! And they start looting your games and throwing everything around! This cannot stand. This will not stand! You whip out your trusty 12 gauge shotgun... and start issuing some DMCA takedowns.

Game Shelver 99: I must organize my Steam Library and defend it against pirates with a shotgun

Features

  • Organize and sort the games you own on Steam into the correct shelves

  • Procedural store layout and procedural categorization challenges based on your games collection, with multiple correct solutions for high replayability

    • Categorize by genre, by tags, by year, by developer, by title or by price

  • Play peaceful mode and focus purely on organizing, or shoot and destroy software-pirates that loot your store in waves and throw your organized games out of the shelves

  • Adjustable difficulty (number of games to shelve, extra slack on shelves, number of pirates, ...)

  • Improve your sorting skills with FPS-style power-ups (carry capacity, highlighting, auto-shelving, ...)

  • Single player or online co-op (up to 4 players) with a combined game collection (3 or 4 players highly recommended. Your friends might see THAT ONE game you own they are not supposed to. In a 3 or 4 player game you can always point and say it belongs to the other guy! Wait. Actually there is no pointing mechanic in the game. Dammit.)

  • Multi-language localization support: The meta-data for your Steam games (title, description, artwork, genre, tags, ...) is automatically retrieved in your preferred language. If your games are localized in your language, the game boxes and shelves inside Game Shelver 99 will be localized as well!

  • Don't have many games on Steam? For the purpose of Game Shelver 99, you can manually add any Steam Game you want to your virtual collection!

  • Nostalgic, late 90s / early 00s retro vibes with modern, over the top effects and a satirical (subtle, I know) genre-blend:  Tidy-Up Cleaning Organizer First Person Shooter Wave Defense (let's add "Quantum AI Blockchain Simulator" for the clicks).

Wishlist Game Shelver 99 now, try the demo during Next Fest in October and get the full release in November!
