Forts & Castles is a turn-based strategy game played out on a 3D game board. Command an army of soldiers and scouts: each turn you roll for movement, maneuver across forests, water, and mountain passes, and fight quick dice battles for control of the strongholds that decide the war. Play solo against a goal-driven AI on three difficulty levels, or pass the mouse to a friend for classic hot-seat matches. Free and complete — no purchases, no ads.
The board is the battlefield
Every tile matters: forests slow your escape, water and mountains block the path, and the shortest route is rarely the safest one.
Fight for the strongholds
Castles let you muster and stack your forces. Forts give defenders the edge in battle. Hospitals send your wounded back to the fight. Hold them or take them — they decide the war.
Dice decide the clash and you decide everything else
Combat is quick, readable rolls tracked on a battle ledger. Bring the right pawn to the right fight: steady soldiers or fast-riding scouts.
An opponent that wants to win
A goal-directed AI garrisons, masses forces, and invades with intent — across three difficulty levels. Or challenge a friend in local hot-seat play.
